SACHGEBIETE/INHALT:
Diese Datenbank bietet Beschreibungen zu den vierstelligen Codes, die vom Datenbankanbieter zur Einteilung
seiner Produkte eingeführt wurden. Die Datenbank ist gemäß der Standard Industrial Classification (SIC)
Manual von der US-Regierung 1987 veröffentlicht, aufgebaut. So kann der User alle vierstelligen Codes
kennenlernen bzw. den wahrscheinlichen Code für eine bestimmte Aktivität von Industrie oder Geschäftswelt
vorherbestimmen. Es handelt sich hierbei um eine enzyklopädische Datenbank, die in Kapitel unterteilt ist.
Diese Kapitel können getrennt gescannt werden um verschiedene Klassifikationslevels zu bekommen. Durch
die Eingabe SEARCH GB54E können die einzelnen Dateien auch aufgerufen und durchsucht werden. Auf
diesem Wege kommt man direkt zu dem gesuchten Wort.

Current with the 1987 Edition of the SIC. This directory service provides descriptor terms for four-digit codes
employed by the host for use in compiling its products. The directory is based upon the Standard Industrial
Classification (SIC) Manual, 1987 Edition, published by the U.S. government. Search this directory to learn the
descriptor terms for any four-digit SIC code employed in Standard & Poor's Daily News (SP01) or to determine
probable four-digit SIC codes for a given industry or business activity. This directory is an Encyclopedic
NewsNet service and, as such, it is arranged in Chapters. Chapters may be scanned individually to receive a
listing of SIC Major Groups or various classification levels within an SIC Division. Four-digit SIC codes may then
be displayed by entering the corresponding NewsNet headline numbers. The directory may also be searched.
