Systematische Untersuchung der Möglichkeiten und der möglichen wirtschaftlichen, umweltbezogenen und
sozialen Auswirkungen der Einführung von neuen oder modifizierten Technologien. Die Datenbank ist in drei
Abschnitte unterteilt: der Abschnitt "Institutionen" enthält Institutionen, die TA-Projekte durchführen, der
Abschnitt "Projekte" enthält sowohl umfassende als auch partielle TA-Projekte, der Abschnitt "Literatur" enthält
Veröffentlichungen aus diesen Projekten sowie allgemeine Literatur zur Technikfolgenabschätzung. Besonderes
Merkmal ist die Verknüpfung der drei Abschnitte miteinander. Die Datenbank wird im Rahmen eines Projektes
aufgebaut, das zum Teil vom Bundesministerium für Forschung und Technologie finanziert wird.

Information on institutions, research projects, and literature in the field of technology assessment. Systematic
study of the opportunities and the potential economic, environmental, and social impacts of the introduction of
new or modified technologies. The database is divided into three segments: the segment "Institutions" contains
institutions which perform technology assessment projects. The segment "Projects" contains comprehensive as
well as partial TA projects. The segment "Literature" contains publications from these projects as well as
general literature on technology assessment selected by the database producer according to their importance
and currentness. The interconnectionof the three file segments is a special feature of the database. The
